The Free to Code project aims to promote coding education among European adult prisoners and promote fair development for the digital inclusion of vulnerable people, such as prisoners, who are emerging. In order to achieve this objective, the project started with a basic analysis of the context and the wishes of prisoners in the countries involved. The results of the analysis are presented in the report.
One of the main conclusions is that two types of digital education should ideally be prepared: one for the base level and one for the more advanced level. However, training at both levels should be very practical, interactive and linked to the participants’ work plans (e.g. sales, basic programming, operator, etc.).
