Design WeekEnd 2023

From November 24th to 26th, Plovdiv will transform into a center of creativity and design, hosting the three-day brand design competition – Design WeekEnd 2023. The event, which brings together students and young people interested in design, promises to be a real design challenge.

Design WeekEnd is a stunning competition that allows young designers to create a brand identity in just 26 hours. This event invites talented youth from across the country to prove their skills and creativity in web design, graphic design, or multimedia creativity.

Who is Design WeekEnd For?

Whether you are a student aged 16 or older or a student passionate about design, photography, video processing, print communications, or social networks, Design WeekEnd offers a platform where you can showcase your talents.

Program

The event begins with inspiring presentations and new knowledge on Friday, where participants will learn about the challenges ahead. The biggest challenge follows – teamwork and deadlines, which are limited to Saturday and Sunday.

The Competition

Design WeekEnd challenges participants to create a brand identity from scratch. In teams of five, participants have exactly 26 hours (or perhaps a little less) to create a unique brand. The tasks are diverse, including creating brands for products and services like mineral water, pet food, creative materials shop, extreme experiences, and musical instruments. But the challenge doesn’t end there – each team receives two random words they must incorporate into their brand. These words are random and unexpected, such as “plantation,” “drill,” “wave,” “chainsaw,” “beetroot,” and “horn.”

Mentors

Keep in mind that the competition involves challenges, but there are also mentors who are professionals and experts in design. They are available to participants throughout the process, eager to share their experience and knowledge, helping them create an incredible brand.
