STEM CENTRES IN OVER 2,200 SCHOOLS
07.07.2023 |
STEM centres and classrooms are to be built in 2,271 schools with funds from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, according to Education and Science Minister Prof. Galin Tsokov at the Eighth Congress of the Syndicate of Bulgarian Teachers.
Some schools are expected to start teaching in them as early as 2024.
“This is a change not only of the educational environment, but also of the design of education, of the way of teaching knowledge,” said prof. Tsokov.
The digital environment is very important and the so-called “Digital Backpack” is to be completed – the platform should be supplemented with more resources created by and for teachers and students. Within the 2023 budget, which will be discussed next week, funds for education have been increased by 750 million leva.
