Open Education Week (OE Week) – Global event

Since its launch in 2012, the Open Education Week (OE Week) is an opportunity to actively share and learn about the latest advances in open education worldwide. The OE Week, which runs from 6 to 10 March, gives practitioners, trainers and students the opportunity to build a greater understanding of and inspired by open educational practices around the world.

Participation in OE Week 6-10 March 2023

Institutions, organisations and individuals from all over the world engaged in open education are welcome to join, engage and contribute to the OE Week. Participation is free of charge and open to everyone.

  • Share information about your event, such as presentations, panels or workshops (face-to-face or online)
  • Provide an asset or resource for open education. Examples include open educational resources (OERs), open textbooks, open courses, open archives or libraries, open tools, open technology platforms, etc.
  • Take part in an event
  • Use, translate or adapt an existing open educational resource
  • Discuss all aspects related to open education on OEG Connect
  • Share your activities on social media with the hashtag #oeweek
  • Use OE Week’s campaign material for 2023
