Full University Human Centred AI Masters learning materials now available

It is difficult to avoid the impact AI is having on society right now. For many organisations, the AI revolution is a time of challenge and opportunity. The EU AI Act was passed on March 13 by the European parliament. It is the first-ever legal framework on AI which addresses the risks of AI.

Funded with great foresight by the European Health and Digital Executive Agency (HaDEA), the HCAIM consortium started its journey in 2021. The international consortium consisting of universities, excellence centres and SMEs developed a full Human Centred AI Masters programme to prepare graduates for the new world of responsible AI.

The Human Centred AI Masters Programme gives you the most up-to-date set of skills in modern AI technology from modelling through design and deployment in practice. Programme delivery in Budapest, Dublin, Naples and Utrecht is going through its second cycle with the third cycle already in recruitment for September 2024. For those already in work, there’s even an online part time version available from TU Dublin.

Graduate roles of the first sets of graduates demonstrate the needs for the skills – many are working as AI developers, many have gone onto study responsible AI at PhD level. There also interesting trends where the broader knowledge of these graduates is important – some graduates are working with government ministries on AI ethics and legislation and some are working with police forces on ethical use of AI in policing.
