Horizon Europe

Horizon Europe is the EU’s key funding programme for research and innovation. With a budget of EUR 95.5 billion, the EU’s 9th Framework Programme for Research and Innovation will run from 2021 to 2027.

The programme addresses climate change, helps to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals and strengthens the EU’s competitiveness and growth.

Horizon Europe facilitates cooperation and strengthens the impact of research and innovation in developing, supporting and implementing EU policies, while addressing global challenges. It supports the creation and better dissemination of excellent knowledge and technology.

It creates jobs, fully engages the EU’s talent pool, boosts economic growth, promotes industrial competitiveness and optimises investment impact within a strengthened European Research Area.
