There is no need for advanced strategies or millions of investments to get started. Climate action can certainly be made concrete – and it is not just about eating less beef or flying less. For example, you can start by cleaning up the file server and setting the staff’s personal computers in the optimal way.
Digitalisation and the many technological gadgets we surround us are also contributing to a negative impact on the climate, because they use electricity and because both their production and their disposal have a negative impact on the climate.

Dansk Metal and Dansk IT make a number of recommendations on the technical measures that Danish companies can usefully embark on. We focus on the obvious technical measures that may individually not revolutionise the big but, taken together, can make a difference to the green profile of the company.
At the same time, these are measures that precisely the IT staff members who are members of Dansk Metal and Dansk IT have the professional skills to start implementing.
