The EIC Tech Report 2024 provides a detailed analysis of 34 early-stage breakthrough innovations across three macro-areas: Green, Health, and Digital/Industry/Space. The report highlights promising emerging technologies funded or identified by the European Innovation Council (EIC) from 2018 to 2023.
It aims to position Europe as a leader in transformative innovations that address societal challenges like climate change, public health, and digital transformation.
Strategic Objectives
The report promotes collaboration between academia, industry, and policymakers to accelerate innovation scaling. It seeks to address gaps in funding, regulatory barriers, and industrial adoption.
Methodology
The report used quantitative data mining and expert-driven qualitative analysis to shortlist 34 signals from 260 early-stage innovations. Focus areas align with EU strategies like the Green Deal, Pharmaceutical Strategy, and EU Chips Act.
