This policy brief presents the first findings of Cedefop’s second European Skills and Jobs Survey (ESJS).
ESJS2 analysed representative samples of adult workers in the EU + in terms of professional skills requirements, digitalisation at work, skills mismatch and work-based learning.
It provides up-to-date evidence on how digitalisation accelerated in EU labour markets during the coronavirus pandemic. This note identifies groups of workers affected by the automation of tasks and digital skills gaps in need of targeted upskilling or reskilling, and advocates for a human-centric approach that empowers the uptake of digital technology.
