The most important resource in any economy or organisation is its human capital, i.e. the collective knowledge, attributes, skills, experience and health of the workforce. While human capital development starts in the early years of childhood and continues with formal education, our research focuses on the next phase, covering the entire working life.
In this data sample, around one third of workers in the US, Germany and the UK and almost a quarter of Indian workers are growing by one or more quintiles in their estimated lifetime income in their career. This bottom-up group is intended to act more frequently and courageous. However, individuals cannot take courageous measures if employers do not see their potential and exploit their employability. The most effective way for a person to make the most of the “experience” is to join an organisation that prioritises and enhances its development.
