Initial lessons from the second survey of the European Centre for the Development of Skills and Jobs (Cedefop)

This document presents the first findings of the second European Skills and Jobs Survey (ESJS) produced by Cedefop.

ESJS2 covered representative samples of adult workers from the EU+ in terms of job qualification requirements, digitalisation at work, skills mismatches and on-the-job learning.

It provides up-to-date evidence on how digitalisation has accelerated in EU labour markets during the coronavirus pandemic. This document identifies the groups of workers affected by the automation of tasks and digital skills gaps in need of targeted upskilling or reskilling, and advocates a human-centric approach and a strengthened approach to the uptake of digital technologies.
