The Data Space 4 Skills(DS4Skills) project launched in February a new online platform called the DS4Skills Interactive Inventory, which aims to provide a comprehensive and structured overview of different platforms, services, applications and other initiatives in the area of skills data. The inventory focuses on skills platforms related to the green and digital transformation.
This online inventory aims to address the lack of visibility and fragmentation of existing initiatives in the skills data space, providing an easily accessible and user-friendly interface with three interactive functions: Discovery, relations and analysis. The interactive inventory DS4Skills serves as an important communication tool for the DS4Skills project and all members of the skills data ecosystem and is expected to improve alignment and harmonisation between parallel projects under the Digital Europe Programme.
The content of the inventory was collected through a market scanning, consisting of an online survey and desk research on publicly available information on the initiatives. In addition, the methodology for classifying and evaluating existing skills and educational data initiatives has been applied. New initiatives are constantly being recruited via an online submission form and users of the online platform are invited to suggest new initiatives and to add details on already embedded initiatives.
