Denmark has invested early and decisively in digitalisation and this has had a significant impact on our daily lives. Now we no longer need to spend time queuing at the post office to pay bills or visit the municipality personally to write our children to institutions. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we saw how digitalisation played a positive and crucial role for our welfare societies. It was mainly thanks to our robust digital infrastructure that it was possible to deploy vaccines quickly and develop the Corona passport, allowing us to reopen society early.
When digital solutions make our daily lives easier, we embrace them with open arms. Danes have always been quick to adopt these solutions and have helped each other to adapt to the new, more digital public sector. This has placed Denmark at the forefront of digital development and it is a position we must maintain and continue to develop.
