This ubiquitous digitalisation represents a significant change in the relationship between society and IT; people are forced to use computers and the internet to perform their core tasks. We propose that this era of mandatory informatics will require new ways of measuring and theoretical digital skills, which remain a key dimension of the digital divide. This article will review theories and measurement of digital skills, which are three contributions to understand how they meet digital skills, how they are acquired and designed.
