Published in 2021, as part of the Erasmus + Chaise project, this study offers a unique insight into the demand for blockchain skills in the EU. The research aims to establish the structure of current blockchain employment, the type of organisations employing blockchain professionals, the educational profile of blockchain workers and the skills and competences currently required by employers.
The market for blockchain skills is assessed on the following aspects:
- Form of employment and nature;
- The characteristics of the blockchain workforce;
- Skills in terms of demand for current and future employees in blockchain technology;
- Promoting education and skills development;
- Perceived changes in blockchain organisations.
The research data was collected from the following sources: (I) a literature review; online survey; (III) online job vacancies; and (d) detailed interviews.
