Study on skills mismatch in the blockchain sector (2021)

A study on skills mismatches in the blockchain sector was published in November 2021 by Chaise an EU-funded initiative to set out a sectoral approach to the development of blockchain skills. The study concludes nearly one year of research into the current state of demand for and supply of blockchain skills in Europe.

This study presents a chaise of findings on the European blockchain ecosystem and analyses the structure and nature of blockchain employment, such as the characteristics and educational profile of the concerns and skills typically demanded by employers.

Building on these findings, the study provides recommendations to policy makers and future curricula of blockchain technology. It also provides insights into the future of the blockchain labour market in Europe and represents a unique person developed by Chaise researchers, namely blockchain developer, blockchain architect and blockchain administrator/consulator.

This newly acquired knowledge will serve as a basis for the development of upcoming Chaise activities, including a blockchain skills strategy and a blockchain curriculum tailored to European needs.
