“The role of digital labour platforms in transforming the world of work” – is a report that is part of the Employment and Social Outlook 2021 presented by the International Labour Organisation.
The report provides a comprehensive picture of the experience of workers and businesses on internet- and location-based online platforms, drawing on surveys and interviews with around 12,000 workers and representatives of 85 companies worldwide in several sectors. It also provides information on the business model of digital labour platforms, examines regulatory responses worldwide and presents a way forward to ensure that all forms of platform work are decent work.
