From breathing sensors that can diagnose diseases to wireless charging of low-power devices, the 10th anniversary of the World Economic Forum’s Emerging Technologies Report lists new technologies that can impact the world in the next three to five years.
The listed technologies, managed by experts convened by the World Economic Forum and American Sciences, are selected on the basis of several criteria. In addition to the major promising benefits for societies and economies, they must also be disruptive, attractive to investors and researchers and have reached a considerable scale within five years.
