World EconomicForum: The 2022 Information Report on Cybersecurity interprets the actions of the 2021 World Economic Forum Cybersecurity Centre by involving 120 cyber leaders to obtain a high-quality overview of emerging cyber threats. The purpose of this report is to provide an in-depth analysis of the security challenges that leaders face, the approaches they take to keep up with cybercrime and the actions they take to strengthen cyber resilience within their organisations and the wider ecosystem.
The work of the Cybersecurity Centre focused on data collection through a cyber-foresight survey and cyber foresight series, as well as their analysis to understand perceptions leading to cyber security and resilience trajectories. The results of the analysis highlighted valuable information on the cyber situation and perceptions of the current evolution of cyber resilience.
The overall cybersecurity outlook will be an annual report that will highlight trends and progress as organisations start moving from cyber defence to a stronger position on cyber resilience. As our cyber ecosystems expand and integrate, it is increasingly important to ensure that all organisations can anticipate, recover and adapt quickly to cyber incidents. Security leaders must be able to effectively and clearly inform business leaders in the sector about their risk and risk mitigation strategies.
